King Norman Volga was a character who appeared in the series 2 episode Prince Noman.
Description[]
The King was a skinny old man with a long hooked nose and chin. He had stubbly black hair on his head and sported a grey goatee. He wore a terracotta tunic and a gold crown with inset red gemstones.
History[]
The Volga family had ruled the walled town of Misery for five hundred years, terrorising the population to stay in power. Once King Norman got old and became senile, the Volga family decided that they needed an heir, and so "invited" young seamstress Letitia to marry him. A year later, a prince was born.
At the Naming Ceremony, however, the King forgot his reading glasses and, instead of calling the boy after himself, named him Noman. Shortly afterwards, King Norman took a turn for the worse and started believing himself to be Florence Nightingale, so the Royal Doctor declared him a complete fruitcake. A few days later, he died and his son was named his successor.
